The USDA has announced today a new conservation loan program for farmers who need upfront money to begin conservation measures on their property. The loan will help farmers to protect water resources, establish forest cover, improve pastures and so forth. The maximum loan limit is $300,000 and it offers a lender loan guarantee program of up to $1,112,000 for lenders that work with the Farm Services Agency.
